Equity Defined

The home equity loan (as alluded to a moment ago) is the type of loan that uses real estate as collateral.  In this regard, a person is able to obtaining financing for a portion of the amount of value that is considered equity in the real estate.  The real estate is then used as collateral for the home equity loan, once the loan is approved.

Computing Equity
